PhD Student
Amani Jabali
Hello, I'm Amani! I hold a masters’ in Medical Sciences specializing in Cell and Developmental biology from TAU. Joining the Ghersi lab as a PhD student, my research will focus on using zebrafish models to study Hematopoiesis at the early stages of development. My scientific interests include: Cell Biology, Pathology and Translational medicine. In my free time I like to enjoy art in various forms and go for walks in nature.

Hello, I'm Rose-Marie. I’m in the final stages of completing my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, and I plan to further my studies in either Medicine or Pharmacology. I have a strong interest in pharmacology and pathology, and outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy reading in my spare time.

Postodoc
Etienne Gomez Vivolo
Hi! My name is Esteban, but everybody calls me Etienne! I’ve recently graduated with a Ph.D. at the University of Geneva (UNIGE), where I studied the development of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) in the zebrafish model. I’m currently pursuing my academic journey by working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Ghersi lab, where I focus on better understanding early diversification of HSPCs in the zebrafish embryo and how embryonic HSPCs heterogeneity can underlie susceptibility to various diseases. Other than fish, I like high-speed trains, the ergative case, and Athens.
